"Solid" - Wood in its most beautiful shape!

Wood from the European walnut tree, which is one of the most precious and most beautiful types of wood in all Europe, forms the raw material for this series. Both the wood’s warm brown colors in different shades and its intensive and distinctive grain make every product a unique item.

The high quality workmanship in combination with the food-safe sealing with premium oil guarantee long durability, even if in everyday use.

A new way of serving bread was the central idea when designing this series. Heiko Antoniewicz who also provided the basic concepts for the series "Modul" and "SelectionA." brought the topic into focus with his new book "Brot" (engl. "Bread"). In cooperation with the author, Zieher developed three different boxes for bread which are suitable for a great number of uses. This is due to the fact that these boxes can be subdivided and complemented with fitting inserts made of glass or porcelain.

Moreover, there are small trays with glass inserts available which make it possible to serve dishes directly on the tray. The glass can be removed and cleaned easily whereby the more delicate wood stays protected. The  wooden plate, which is available in this series, in combination with hand-blown glass covers (for example from the series "Amuse" from Zieher), is especially suitable for an extraordinary presentation of truffles or premium cheeses.

A modern serving tray makes the series complete!


In autumn 2011 the series has been supplemented by stackable bowls in an attractive structure and various trays in different sizes.
