The New Vision of Space and Fine Dining – by Heiko Antoniewicz
SelectionA. has been developed by Zieher in cooperation with Heiko Antoniewicz.
The series consists of different plates and bowls made of porcelain or glass. “Platzteller” (basis-plates) are available in two versions which can be used on their own or in combination with various attachments. These form the basis for the system.
Shapely rings made of silicon which are available in two sizes and in black or white make it possible to pile the different attachments and guarantee complete slip-proofness. Surfaces are dull structured and form an interesting contrast to the porcelain’s shiny gloss.
These pieces can be consciously used as design elements or, as well, be assembled almost invisibly. There are no limits to the chef’s imagination. A third ring outside the series (page…) has been designed to hold test-glasses, the rill-structure of which guarantees easy insertion.
Heiko Antoniewicz about “SELECTIONA.”:
“SelectionA. stands for the vision of space and Fine Dining.”
Space for guests: The reduced size of the basis-plates emphasizes the table and provides the required space.
Space for taste: Simple design puts the focus on the food and allows taste to be unfolded unrestrictedly.
Space for detail: Small details elaborately presented take their effect marvellously.
Space for service: Suspenseful and elegant presentations – made possible through the free design.
Space for the kitchen: The variety of capabilities creates more space for creativity and diversity.
Oliver Zieher (design) about “SelectionA.”:
“SelectionA. makes it possible for creative chefs to present their food in many different ways and to leave a mark with their guests both by taste and optics. The dish moves closer to the guest and single parts almost seem to be floating freely in the room. The diversity of variations of this series and, as well, with other items is nearly unlimited!
